A Web Portal implemented at the beginning of 2010 with the aim of facilitating, on one hand the sending of information about production and management of residues in Azores, and on the other hand the treatment and disclosure of this information.

SRIR was developed for the Regional Environment Directorate (DRA). From the beginning the adhesion to SRIR was very positive and in one year there are about 1000 users. This system was essential to know the residues created in Azores and therefore identify the best solutions for them, giving them the right value and guaranteeing the quality of environment and public health.
